HOPE FOR THE HOPE- LESS CHARITABLE TRUST
CURRENT PROJECT
We are currently working hard to establish the Whare O Te Manawa Ora/ House of Hope in South Auckland; meeting with potential partners and searching for a suitable property.
WHARE O TE MANAWA ORA/ HOUSE OF HOPE
A safe place where there is unconditional love and acceptance of people wherever they are at, to help them begin the healing process, recover from PTSD and to create hope and a future for their lives.
Open daily from 6am to 10pm, this will be a place for the homeless to come in off the street to stay warm, dry and safe while being treated with dignity and respect: To make connections with counselling and other Agencies to begin recovery from stress/PTSD and to deal with addictions, trauma, and mental health issues. Everything we offer will be designed to build community, whānau, mana and contribute to holistic healing. And we are dreaming big - dreaming of a future with many Whares' in many Auckland suburbs!
